Department of Physics proudly records the achievement of its final year students in Euphoria 2K26, a prestigious technical fest organized by the School of Advanced Sciences at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education. Our students A.Prakash and D.Thirupathi Kannan won second place with cash prize of Rs.4000/- in the event “Bet and Get”. Their achievement brought pride and recognition to Rajapalayam Rajus’ College and highlighted the institution’s commitment to encouraging academic excellence and co-curricular participation. PI DAY CELEBRATION 2026

students of Rajapalayam Rajus’ College, actively participated in the Terrestrial Bird Census (Phase II) conducted by the Tamil Nadu Forest Department. Representing our College Nature Club, we had the opportunity to explore, observe, and document bird species, contributing to wildlife conservation and biodiversity monitoring.

Our final year Chemistry students participated in a competition Mind Snap held at kalasalingam University, Krishna Kovil on 12th March 2026 and they won 3rd prize and a cash award of Rs.4000/-.

The PG Department of Computer Science, Charles Babbage Association organized A Workshop On the eve of National Science Day in the title- "A Hands-on Web AR Development with A-Frame" on 05.03.2026. The session was led by Mr. P. Gowthama pandian student of II M. Sc Computer Science.He explained about AR, VR and MR. He gudied them to write and run in VS code. He made this as an interactive session with his demo using various tools in Github. Around 40 students actively participated in the workshop and made this a successful one.

22 PG and UG students along 2 staff members of PG Department and Research Centre in History went on an Educational Tour to Rameshwaram, Thirukosamangai Temple and Ariyalur Beach on 05.03.2026. The students visited Arichal Munai in Dhanushkodi, Pamban Bridge and Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kamal Memorial Museum to learn about the historical significance of the places.

NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON AI, SUSTAINBILITY AND GLOBAL MARKET TRANSFORMATION

The PG Department of Commerce with Computer Applications organized a field visit to Wonderla Amusement Park, Kochi on 03.03.2026. A total of 83 students participated in this visit.
The visit was accompanied by the faculty members Mrs. M. Sandhiya, Mrs. M. Then Mozhi, and Mrs. Arulmary. The main objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure and an opportunity to learn about management practices in the entertainment and tourism industry. During the visit, students observed the various facilities, safety measures, customer service, and operational activities of the amusement park. The visit was both informative and enjoyable for the students.
Overall, the field visit was a valuable learning experience for the students beyond the classroom.

The PG Department of English organized an educational field trip to Kerala to enhance students’ practical learning experience. The tour provided exposure to Kerala’s rich culture, literature, history, and natural beauty.
Students visited important cultural and heritage sites and learned about traditional art forms and local customs. The trip helped them connect classroom learning with real-life experiences and broaden their academic knowledge.
Overall, the educational tour was informative, enjoyable, and enriching for all the students.

Army Career Guidance & Motivation Programme

The NSS Unit of Rajapalayam Rajus’ College, Rajapalayam conducted a Cyber Security Awareness Programme on 27.02.2026. Six NSS Programme Officers delivered lectures on cyber safety and explained common cyber crimes like phishing and online fraud.
They also guided students on safe internet usage, strong passwords, and protection of personal data. The programme created awareness among students about staying safe in the digital world and was highly useful.

One-Day National Level Seminar on Decoding the Union Budget: Growth and Development

On 23rd January 2026, the Department of Physics, Rajapalayam Rajus’ College, organized an awareness programme on National Girl Child Day at the Government School, Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Rajapalayam. The Headmaster and the Head of the Department of Physics emphasized gender equality and the importance of self-confidence among girls. Dr. V. Moniha and Dr. S. Deepalakshmi motivated students to focus on education and personal growth. Physics students created awareness through drama, dance, quiz programmes, and self-defence demonstrations.

The Department of Commerce (Professional Accounting) conducted an outreach Program at S.N.Ramasamy Raja Higher Secondary School and Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Sankarankovil on 28.01.2026. The objective of the program was to create awareness among higher secondary students about post-12th career prospects, highlighting opportunities in commerce-related fields, accounting professions, and skill-oriented professional courses.
The programme adopted an interactive approach, enabling students to actively engage in discussions and activities. A variety of innovative and participatory exercises aimed at improving focus, memory, teamwork, and creative thinking were organized, which helped in strengthening students’ self-confidence, analytical thinking, decision-making capacity, and overall personality growth.

Human Logo Formation
On 24.01.2026, the NSS Units of Rajapalayam Rajus’ College, Rajapalayam, in association with My Bharat Kendra, Virudhunagar District, organized a voter awareness programme as part of the National Voters’ Day 2026 celebrations at the college playground.
Around 300 students actively participated in the programme. As a key activity, the NSS volunteers created a large human logo formation displaying the message “MY BHARAT MY VOTE 2026”, highlighting the importance of youth participation in the democratic process.
The programme aimed to create awareness about the value of voting, responsible citizenship, and active involvement in nation-building. The event was successfully conducted and received an enthusiastic response from the students.

The Department of Commerce (Self Finance), Rajapalayam Rajus’ College, Rajapalayam, in association with the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), celebrated National Startup Day 2026 on 23.01.2026.

National Voters’ Day Celebration- 2026

Fourteen NSS volunteers from Our College participated in the Inter District Youth Exchange Programme organized by MY Bharat Kendra, Virudhunagar District, held at Chennai from 21.01.2026 to 25.01.2026. The programme helped students develop leadership skills, social awareness, and national integration.

Our College NSS units celebrated National Youth Day on 12.01.2026 at the Smart Hall to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda with the theme “Role of Youth in Nation Building.” The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. S. Chidambaranathan, Head and Associate Professor of Economics, who delivered an inspiring address highlighting the importance of discipline, education, moral values, and social responsibility among youth for national development. NSS volunteers and students actively participated with great enthusiasm, and the programme concluded successfully with a vote of thanks, leaving a strong message for the youth to serve the nation with dedication and commitment.

திருமங்கலம் பி.கே.என் கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் கல்லூரியில் நடைபெற்ற தேசிய அளவிலான கலை இலக்கியத் திருவிழாவில் தமிழ்த்துறையைச் சார்ந்த மாணவர்கள் புளுகாண்டி, ராஜ்குமார், தனஷீல்,வீரபொம்மையா, பத்ரகாளி, காயத்ரி, கிருஷ்ணவேணி ஆகியோர் " நிலைக்காட்சி " போட்டியில் முதல் பரிசு பெற்றுள்ளனர்.

சிவகாசி அரசு கலை மற்றும் அறிவியல் கல்லூரியில் திருக்குறள் வார விழாவினை கொண்டாடும் பொருட்டு கலை இலக்கிய அறிவுசார் போட்டிகள் நடைபெற்றது.இதில் விவாதப் போட்டியில் தமிழ்த்துறையில் படிக்கும் மாணவி காயத்ரியும், கணினி அறிவியல் துறையில் படிக்கும் மாணவி அகிலாண்டேஸ்வரியும் மூன்றாம் பரிசு பெற்றுள்ளார்கள்.

Final year students and Faculty members of Chemistry Department visited *Ritham Special School (a School for intellectually disabled students) , Rajapalayam, on 7th January, 2026.
The primary objective of this visit was to foster New Year celebrations with special students and uplift their spirits through encouragement and interaction.
They presented gifts to the students and contributed essential game items to the school.
They also conducted a cultural program. The school students enthusiastically danced and enjoyed the program.

Our PG Department of English takes many initiatives to enrich the skills of our students. To enhance the communicative and soft skills of our budding young literarians a new initiative is taken by our department. An MOU is signed by us with the English Department of AKDDR College.
