Readers Forum students (17 Girls and 7 Boys) visited Rhythm- School for Special Children on 20th October 2017 with Prizes and Gifts for all the children to celebrate Dhan Utsav- The Joy of Giving. They performed Dance, skit, puppet show and mime to entertain the children. They conducted competitions and gave away prizes. They distributed gifts to each and every child. Though the visit began with a heavy heart, the twinkle of joy in the eyes of the students and their laughter, joy and happiness overtook our hearts.
Since then, students continue to render 20 hours of service every year. The students help in teaching and in therapy and counselling. In turn, they learn plenty of values, realize the Joy of Giving and the value of themselves.
The Library Carnival –Joy of Reading was conducted on 30th October 2018. 115 school students participated in it. Children from two Schools for Special Children also participated .Competitions on Quiz on Books & Authors and Current Affairs, Fancy Dress on Book Characters, Poster Making, Book Reviews and Drawing were conducted and Prizes distributed to the winners.
